Frank Sachs recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jose Boni charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jose Boni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Inter de Urquiza getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Jose Boni hit a great ball. Frank Sachs kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Ulrich Stein came free in the 25th minute and tried to tip the ball over Leopoldo Galtero, but to the joy of Inter de Urquiza's supporters the ball went over. Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 30th minute, Jose Boni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leopoldo Galtero showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albin Holweck in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 44 minutes, Frank Sachs managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Germany's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Sachs was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Sachs in the 48th minute of play forced Inter de Urquiza's goalkeeper Leopoldo Galtero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Germany were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Albin Holweck sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 53rd minute, Albin Holweck hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Frank Sachs in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leopoldo Galtero saved Inter de Urquiza from getting behind. Frank Sachs took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Leopoldo Galtero. Leopoldo Galtero dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. In the 64th minute, Germany's Frank Sachs ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leopoldo Galtero. Leopoldo Galtero yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-4. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Galtero. Inter de Urquiza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-5. If Frank Sachs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sven Krakouer to maneuver through the defense. Leopoldo Galtero made a fantastic save in the 76th minute, when Frank Sachs sent off a good shot on target. Germany's Albin Holweck got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Leopoldo Galtero was a little too slow when Frank Sachs got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-6. With a little luck, Inter de Urquiza's Leopoldo Galtero got control of the ball when Frank Sachs tried to sneak it across the goal line. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Gerardo Matai hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 88 minutes into the match, Frank Sachs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Leopoldo Galtero. Inter de Urquiza's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Frank Sachs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-7. Frank Sachs might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Leopoldo Galtero. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Frank Sachs ran back to his position shaking his head. Albin Holweck was extremely unlucky when he, in the 93rd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Germany's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
