Spectators: 42 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Gijsbert ter Kruimer kicked off to start the match. Arnout Reekers made a fantastic save in the 3rd minute, when Basarab Panduru sent off a good shot on target. In the 5th minute Horia Chioreanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th minute of the match FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt got a corner. Netherlands's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Călin Boieraș ran over to the corner to take the kick. Leonard Floricel made a great header on FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's corner, it was just that Netherlands's Arnout Reekers managed to reach the ball for a save. Nuno Peralta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 8th minute of play. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Valer Perișoară went, in the 9th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Eikelkamp in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nuno Peralta saved FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt from getting behind. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Călin Boieraș fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnout Reekers having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Horia Chioreanu reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Arnout Reekers. The goal made the score 2-0. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Nuno Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 23rd minute of play. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horia Chioreanu in the 24th minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Lars Meesters struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Nuno Peralta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Nuno Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 29th minute of play. A collision led to FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Valer Perișoară hit a great ball. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Nuno Peralta, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 35 minutes into the match, Gijsbert ter Kruimer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nuno Peralta. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gijsbert ter Kruimer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Nuno Peralta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 38th minute of play. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Nuno Peralta did a great save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 39th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Peralta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Basarab Panduru, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. David Eikelkamp scored 2-2 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Nuno Peralta, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Arnout Reekers came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Basarab Panduru. But to his dismay, Basarab Panduru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-2 at half-time.

The wind increased when Horia Chioreanu made the kick off in the second half. Nuno Peralta was out of position in the 51 minute of play, and Gijsbert ter Kruimer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Gijsbert ter Kruimer really showed his touch with that goal: 3-3. Nuno Peralta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 53rd minute. Nuno Peralta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 56th minute. 57 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 64th minute of play forced FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's goalkeeper Nuno Peralta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costin Malcoci in the 69th minute of the match. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Nuno Peralta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Peralta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 75th minute of the match. If Basarab Panduru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's Adrian Nasta was substituted for Basarab Panduru. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Călin Boieraș managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt's supporters rose to their feet, but Călin Boieraș was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Nuno Peralta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 88th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Călin Boieraș, who was totally free with the ball in the 94th minute. Nuno Peralta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 95th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Netherlands eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
