When Kurt Helbig fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid Wien's protests and gave Kurt Helbig a yellow card for diving instead. Kurt Helbig hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Örtomta Legends's Alf Tempel threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Adam Solheim, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 6 minutes Rapid Wien's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was John Dahlqvist who took care of the corner kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Rapid Wien's goalie and right to Vidar Jespersson. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Rapid Wien's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Hagedorn in the 10th minute of play forced Örtomta Legends's goalkeeper Claes Stålberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alf Tempel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anšlavs Karcirvis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Örtomta Legends were awarded a corner in the 15th minute after Rapid Wien's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. John Dahlqvist took the corner. A nice corner shot did that John Dahlqvist got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Alf Tempel quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 28 minutes Örtomta Legends's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Mirco Kähler who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Rapid Wien's Mirco Kähler to fire away a dangerous shot which Claes Stålberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Mirco Kähler shot a long shot in the 28th minute and a light blocked Claes Stålberg hadn't a chance when the ball went into goal on his right side. It was 0-1. Claes Stålberg took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robin Dommröse, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Claes Stålberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Daniel Hagedorn's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Alf Tempel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anšlavs Karcirvis, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Mai Wen made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Rapid Wien's Robin Dommröse sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claes Stålberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Rapid Wien's Julius Reuter got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alf Tempel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anšlavs Karcirvis, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. Alf Tempel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Solheim in the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th match minute, Örtomta Legends was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rolf Blomqvist to maneuver through the defense. Örtomta Legends made a substitution. Christian Moseng replaced Adam Solheim. The supporters of Rapid Wien booed when Örtomta Legends was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolf Blomqvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Robin Dommröses short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Claes Stålberg to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Robin Dommröse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Claes Stålberg made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Hagedorn in the 76th minute of play. In the 81st play minute Robin Dommröse came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Claes Stålberg. 1-3. Alf Tempel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rolf Blomqvist in the 87th minute of play. Alf Tempel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Christian Moseng, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the final whistle went the supporters of Rapid Wien were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Örtomta Legends side.
