Wilson Amorim was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goal looked a bit too open when Viriato Moura came free, but Dražen Ladić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 13th match minute, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulino Admon to maneuver through the defense. Felipe Barreto took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dražen Ladić. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Dražen Ladić came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Caetano Moreira. But to his dismay, Caetano Moreira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marcelo Cordero in the 20th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viriato Moura in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dražen Ladić prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Caetano Moreira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Felipe Barreto made a precise shot to the right of Dražen Ladić. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 41 minutes into the game, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. In the 47th minute Marcelo Cordero shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viriato Moura made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Marcelo Cordero nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilson Amorim made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Daniel Pimentel kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Dražen Ladić. That made the score 3-3 in the 59 minute of play. 62 minutes into the game, Fabricio Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Portugal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT the free kick. Fabricio Andrade hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Portugal's zone, Marcelo Cordero stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal and Marcelo Cordero tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT's Dražen Ladić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT from getting a goal against them. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. In the 81st minute, Eduardo Domeka left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-3. Wilson Amorim showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcelo Cordero in the 86th minute of the match. Dražen Ladić made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Graciano Coutinho sent off a good shot on target. 89 minutes into the match, Fac. de Ed. In the 95thth minute of the game Martín Ferreyra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portugal's Wilson Amorim was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Fac. de Ed. Fisica UNT fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
