Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 16th minute of the match, Jonas Benino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonas Benino, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. After 23 minutes Ensenadas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. With an all-out effort, Ensenadas's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 30 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Faustino Sanchez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 36th minute, Maximo Umbruso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 38 minutes into the match, Ensenadas's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Mariano Andujar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ensenadas's Mariano Andujar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 40th minute of play. In the 42nd minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mariano Andujar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Benino in the 43rd minute of play forced Netherlands's goalkeeper Arnout Reekers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 45 minutes into the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Mariano Andujar. Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer suffered a sore thigh after 79 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Netherlands's Bart Zomerhuis was substituted for Gijsbert ter Kruimer. In the 80th minute, Siro Bazil hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Faustino Sanchez scored 1-5 in the 85th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Arnout Reekers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ensenadas's Mariano Andujar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
