Olgierd Walczak showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 24th minute of the match. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Muñoz in the 28th minute of play. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmet Gündüz Yalavaçs short, quick shot in the 30thth minute got Wilson Amorim to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Viriato Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olgierd Walczak having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Muñoz was the one to do the kick off. Wilson Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Muñoz, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. Felipinho Amorim ran back to his position shaking his head. When Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Fcion C.A.'s goalie prevented a goal. Olgierd Walczak made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faustino Almeida in the 91st minute of play. In the 96th minute David Muñoz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fcion C.A. were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
