Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Francesco Di Lillo made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 3rd minute, Rickey McLain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Francesco Di Lillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Sunnyvale FC's Francesco Di Lillo got a free kick in the 9th minute. Keld Paulsen made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rickey McLain in the 12th minute. When Francesco Di Lillo came up free with the goalie in the 13th minute, the Sunnyvale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Di Lillo couldn't finish the play. If Francesco Di Lillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bertram Svenningsen's late challenge caught a Sunnyvale FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bertram Svenningsen helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Denmark getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Bertram Svenningsen hit a great ball. After 17 played minutes Denmark got a freekick which was hit by Lars Steen. Keld Paulsen was a little too slow when Francesco Di Lillo got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 18th minute. The score was now 1-0. Cristian Iacob kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After 26 played minutes, Denmark's Chris Nygaard shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Melchor Elija came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Denmark reached it. 32 minutes into the game, Francesco Di Lillo cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Keld Paulsen was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 35 minutes, Francesco Di Lillo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sunnyvale FC and the Denmark players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 35th match minute, Sunnyvale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Di Lillo to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Sunnyvale FC booed when Denmark was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bjarne Kirkegaard didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 37 minutes, Francesco Di Lillo made it 3-0 with a short kick to the right side. Denmark's Keld Paulsen tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 42 minutes into the match, Loic Toth had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Keld Paulsen. Denmark's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Loic Toth was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. Francesco Di Lillo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

After 57th play minutes Chris Nygaard shot 5-1, a short shot which went by Melchor Elija and just under the crossbar into goal. If Mikkel Wulff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Denmark's Keld Paulsen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Francesco Di Lillo in the 67th minute of play. In the 72nd minute, Bertram Svenningsen got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chris Nygaard might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Melchor Elija. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Chris Nygaard ran back to his position shaking his head. Sunnyvale FC were awarded a corner in the 79th minute after Denmark's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rickey McLain took the corner. Sunnyvale FC's Rickey McLain was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Keld Paulsen in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 80 minutes of play, Sunnyvale FC's Rickey McLain made it 6-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Keld Paulsen was left in no man's land by his defense there! Bertram Svenningsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Melchor Elija having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Rickey McLain got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Francesco Di Lillo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Keld Paulsen read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 95th minute of play.
