But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serafin Garaona couldn't finish the play. Issac Dawson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Godfredo Etxekopar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rufián's supporters rose to their feet, but Godfredo Etxekopar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalid Kennedy breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, England's Khalid Kennedy got control of the ball when Generoso Toro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Fabian Timo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Issac Dawson in the 25th minute of the match. Fabian Timo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kyle Cox in the 26th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Generoso Toro in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Khalid Kennedy saved England from getting behind. Kyle Cox received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Fabian Timo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 33rd minute Kyle Cox shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabian Timo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Generoso Toro's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Khalid Kennedy firmly grabbed it by the left post. After 35 played minutes England got a freekick which was hit by Eddie Willis. Issac Dawson's late challenge caught a Rufián's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Issac Dawson helped the player get up and apologised. Issac Dawson kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After 53 played minutes Rufián got a freekick which was hit by Angel Bordat. After a rather tough play, Rufián's Rodrigo Kinsen got a free kick in the 56th minute. Khalid Kennedy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godfredo Etxekopar in the 58th minute of play. Jonas Figueroa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Issac Dawson managed to get in a good position for a shot. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
