In the 3rd minute, Cirilo Ritchie ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fernando Selatse was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Ritchie in the 7th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Raul Vigil in the 14th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Despidida AFC's Justino Elequemedo. After some careless play in the Despidida AFC defense, Cirilo Ritchie kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fernando Selatse. The Despidida AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fernando Selatse should have stopped the shot. Cirilo Ritchie took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Fernando Selatse. Fernando Selatse dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 24 minutes into the match, Cirilo Ritchie notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of Despidida AFC's Fernando Selatse. Fernando Selatse was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Arif Ozan Oğuztan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Czeslaw Kopacz in the 28th minute. With a little luck, Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan got control of the ball when Czeslaw Kopacz tried to sneak it across the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Czeslaw Kopacz got free with Arif Ozan Oğuztan in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The Despidida AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Arrecifes were winning 0-5.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Czeslaw Kopacz was the one to do the kick off. Cirilo Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 51st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fernando Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cirilo Ritchie in the 51st minute of play. Natanael Matorin struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Fernando Selatse didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Arrecifes. After 57 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Dário Amaral. Despidida AFC's Emanuel Lucila got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arif Ozan Oğuztan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Toro Martínez in the 60th minute of play. Waldemar Korytkowski received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Fernando Selatse tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arrecifes made a substitution. Felipe Senon replaced Cirilo Ritchie. Arif Ozan Oğuztan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oliver Rizzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Oliver Rizzo in the 68th minute of play forced Arrecifes's goalkeeper Arif Ozan Oğuztan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 72nd minute of the game Feliksas Fenichev made a throw-in which Toro Martínez played forward. In the 73rd minute Szymon Pyrzyce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arif Ozan Oğuztan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Dominik Fink came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Despidida AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dominik Fink couldn't finish the play. Fernando Selatse showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Senon in the 77th minute of the match. After 80 played minutes Arrecifes got a freekick which was hit by Kevin De Bruyne. The audience cheered loudly when Modesto Gipuzkoa's long shot in the 90th minute became 0-6 when the ball went to the left of and passed Fernando Selatse. 93 minutes into the game, Modesto Gipuzkoa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Arrecifes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Despidida AFC the free kick. Modesto Gipuzkoa kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. Arif Ozan Oğuztan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toro Martínez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 96 minutes had been played when some careless play by Arrecifes's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Emanuel Lucila was slow to take the kick. During this time Despidida AFC's players had a chance to rest. Emanuel Lucila made a great header on Despidida AFC's corner, it was just that Arrecifes's Arif Ozan Oğuztan managed to reach the ball for a save.
The Despidida AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Arrecifes's performance. The match ended with a win for Arrecifes.
