Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Club Ibiza's Bruno Fonso started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Siricio Liotta scored 0-1 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Rene Higuita, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Higuita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 9th minute of play. After some careless play in the Italy defense, Bruno Fonso kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Flavio Vittori. The Italy fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Flavio Vittori should have stopped the shot. Phillip Hunt made in the 14th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Eliseo Cutri. After 21 played minutes Club Ibiza got a freekick which was hit by Phillip Hunt. Rene Higuita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zaccheo Andolina in the 23rd minute of the match. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 28th minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Zaccheo Andolina's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rene Higuita read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the game, Italy's Siricio Liotta nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rene Higuita made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. The crowd rose to their feet as Club Ibiza's Bruno Fonso slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Flavio Vittori. That made the score 2-2 after 40 minutes of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 2-2 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Zaccheo Andolina made the kick off in the second half. Italy's Eliseo Cutri quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Phillip Hunt, made in the 51st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 52nd minute of play forced Club Ibiza's goalkeeper Rene Higuita to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 52nd minute, Zaccheo Andolina ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rene Higuita was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. If Bruno Fonso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 60 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Fonso came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Club Ibiza's Đỗ Remi was substituted for Gelu Cozmâncă. Club Ibiza's Bala Veloz was substituted for Tony Thanos. Đỗ Remi made in the 64th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Italy's Siricio Liotta. Rene Higuita took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sigfrido Auletta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 72 minutes, Faustino Asprilla managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Ibiza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Faustino Asprilla was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 80th minute, Italy's Zaccheo Andolina dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-4. If Faustino Asprilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Flavio Vittori showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Faustino Asprilla, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Italy's goal looked a bit too open when Faustino Asprilla came free, but Flavio Vittori reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Club Ibiza's zone, Adriano Curto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rene Higuita came out of the goal and Adriano Curto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Club Ibiza fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Italy were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
