In the 12th match minute, Germany was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Janik Vogt to maneuver through the defense. After 17 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Robertinho Teodorowski. In the 20th minute Robertinho Teodorowski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Sahnoyan Şah had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sahnoyan Şah was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Gerrit Hardering showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Sachs in the 46th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Robertinho Teodorowski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Robertinho Teodorowski made a precise shot to the right of Tommy Kahn. Germany's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. In the 63rd minute Fellipe Penha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Kahn saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Patriots's supporters rose to their feet, but Robertinho Teodorowski was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tommy Kahn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 78 played minutes Germany got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Dreifuss. 82 minutes into the match, New England Patriots's goalkeeper Gerrit Hardering had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frank Sachs. Germany's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
