Martin Crețu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edward Vanderstraeten, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Stiinta-Univ.'s Elari Jutt got a free kick in the 9th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yves Dervaux in the 12th minute of play forced Stiinta-Univ.'s goalkeeper Martin Crețu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Belgium were awarded a corner in the 13th minute after Stiinta-Univ.'s defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Vanderstraeten took the corner. In the 16th minute, Edward Vanderstraeten made a precise shot to the right of Martin Crețu. Stiinta-Univ.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Muhammet Altın kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Crețu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 22nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Shi Ming Sheng managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stiinta-Univ.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Shi Ming Sheng was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Casper Claes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Stiinta-Univ.'s Martin Crețu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edward Vanderstraeten in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th minute Edward Vanderstraeten shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Martin Crețu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Martin Crețu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 32nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stiinta-Univ.'s zone, Edward Vanderstraeten stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Martin Crețu came out of the goal and Edward Vanderstraeten tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casper Claes made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Valeriu Morovan sent off a good shot on target. 38 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Shi Ming Sheng came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Stiinta-Univ.'s Aurel Panait got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stiinta-Univ. made a substitution. Viteazul Flore replaced Șerban Rușanu.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Valeriu Morovan to strike the kick off in the second half. Martin Crețu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yves Dervaux in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Shi Ming Sheng in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A nice corner shot did that Benjamim Urbano got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Casper Claes quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 66th minute, Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Valeriu Morovan in the 70th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Claes prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edward Vanderstraeten's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Martin Crețu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Viteazul Flore kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 84 minutes into the match, Aurel Panait notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Belgium's Casper Claes. Casper Claes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Stiinta-Univ.'s Shi Ming Sheng in the 87th minute got a chance for a shot 87th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Belgium's goalie prevented a goal. Casper Claes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Shi Ming Sheng's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. When Edward Vanderstraeten came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Belgium fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edward Vanderstraeten couldn't finish the play. 91 minutes into the match, Belgium's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Morovan came free, but Casper Claes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Yves Dervaux got free with Martin Crețu in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 94th minute Belgium were awarded a corner. Edward Vanderstraeten went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Belgium's Edward Vanderstraeten to fire away a dangerous shot which Martin Crețu despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Casper Claes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Shi Ming Sheng, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Belgium had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
