Ladislao Gerazan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 16th minute of the match, but Arnout Reekers made a huge save. Arnout Reekers was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ladislao Gerazan showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 16 minute of play. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ladislao Gerazan in the 19th minute of play. But to his dismay, Ladislao Gerazan quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ödön Zsinka kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Horaţiu Măcrinici managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Horaţiu Măcrinici was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arnout Reekers breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. Nova Iguaçu MZFC's Mickaël Maris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 52nd minute of play. Mickaël Maris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Meesters in the 53rd minute of play. In the 53rd minute, Lars Meesters ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mickaël Maris was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Mickaël Maris was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Lars Meesters showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-2 in the 60 minute of play. When David Eikelkamp fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Netherlands's protests and gave David Eikelkamp a yellow card for diving instead. David Eikelkamp hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match.
