The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulino Pacorro got free with Ilija Skugor in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th match minute, Las Brisas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mariano Poz to maneuver through the defense. 18 minutes into the match, Croatia's Toni Mauzer broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Celedonio Normando took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toni Mauzer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Toni Mauzer in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celedonio Normando prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Delmiro Quin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Ilija Skugor made a huge save. 38 minutes into the match, Delmiro Quin dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Ilija Skugor, 1-1. In the 44th minute, Toni Mauzer ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Celedonio Normando was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-3. The referee felt a red card was in order, 48 minutes into the game, when Ildefonso Mateo put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 48th minute of the game. One of Las Brisas FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Croatia:s goal. The referee gave Croatia a penalty, 51 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Toni Mauzer, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Las Brisas FC's Celedonio Normando. 1-4.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Toni Mauzer made a kick off. Gerardo Fanuco scored 2-4 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ilija Skugor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Celedonio Normando was out of position in the 64 minute of play, and Toni Mauzer capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toni Mauzer really showed his touch with that goal: 2-5. Toni Mauzer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Las Brisas FC's Celedonio Normando played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Martin Bosak in the 74th minute of play. If Martin Bosak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toni Mauzer charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Toni Mauzer the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Toni Mauzer hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. Ilija Skugor didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nereo Evangelista went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-5 was the resulting score. In the 91st minute Gerardo Fanuco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ilija Skugor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Paulino Pacorro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Paulino Pacorro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 99th minute, Patrik Terzic hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Croatia players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
