The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mías Khalifa was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 7th minute of play forced Simbo FC's goalkeeper Mías Khalifa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sabri Ravelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 31st minute Tincho Palermo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Nestor Sancho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mías Khalifa made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Simbo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mías Khalifa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Carlos Trinidad fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simbo FC's protests and gave Carlos Trinidad a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th minute, Carlos Trinidad hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tincho Palermo to strike the kick off in the second half. Simbo FC's Mías Khalifa proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Simbo FC from getting a goal against them. Nestor Sancho struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Simbo FC. Simbo FC made a substitution. Natasha Jain replaced Anselmo Leocadio. In the 64th of the match, Lars Meesters tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Mías Khalifa got in the way and made a wonderful save. Arnout Reekers didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Miliano Sacristán went, in the 67th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Simbo FC's Niceto Nafarroa was substituted for Boleslaw Sidorowicz. 75 minutes into the game, Netherlands's Wim Wilmes nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mías Khalifa made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Mías Khalifa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gust Ennemans made in the 82nd minute of the game a quick throw-in and Gustaaf Groeneveldt immediately put the ball in play. After a rather tough play, Netherlands's Lars Meesters got a free kick in the 84th minute. Arnout Reekers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miliano Sacristán, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mías Khalifa was out of position in the 94 minute of play, and Wim Wilmes capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Wim Wilmes really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. The Simbo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Netherlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Netherlands.
