Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) France's Frank Peletier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Joinville Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Catarinense made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxime Durand was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Deivid Vaz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Joinville Esporte Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Deivid Vaz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maxime Durand breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Frank Peletier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Frank Peletier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Célio Torres made in the 18th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by France's Remy Dupuy. Célio Torres made in the 19th minute of the game a sloppy throw-in which Gugu Ramos however managed to control. Wellington Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remy Dupuy, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Remy Dupuy managed to get in a good position for a shot. France's supporters rose to their feet, but Remy Dupuy was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Wellington Montenegro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Camille Baume in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wellington Montenegro saved Joinville Esporte Clube from getting behind. The supporters of Joinville Esporte Clube booed when France was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Maxence Durand didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Joinville Esporte Clube defense, Frank Peletier kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wellington Montenegro. The Joinville Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wellington Montenegro should have stopped the shot. With his leg Maxime Durand managed to avoid a goal in the 47thth minute, when Joinville Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Catarinense fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When Joinville Esporte Clube's Gonçalo Catarinense in the 51st minute got a chance for a shot 51st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye France's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro got control of the ball when Frank Peletier tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 57th minute, Frank Peletier fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Frank Peletier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Wellington Montenegro came out of the goal in the 64th minute to try and stop a shot by France's Frank Peletier. But to his dismay, Frank Peletier quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Glauco Saraiva lost his temper 74 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Alexis Bruneau hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. In the 83rd minute Gonçalo Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxime Durand saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. France's David Barbier got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 87 minutes, Frank Peletier made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Joinville Esporte Clube's Wellington Montenegro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Wellington Montenegro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Peletier in the 91st minute of play. 92 minutes into the game, Camille Baume cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-5. Wellington Montenegro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wellington Montenegro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Camille Baume, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 97th minute Camille Baume shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wellington Montenegro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle sounded France left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Joinville Esporte Clube.
