Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Chris Nygaard started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 3rd minute, Chris Nygaard managed to get in a good position for a shot. Denmark's supporters rose to their feet, but Chris Nygaard was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zé Carlos Britto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thierry Henry in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Keld Paulsen, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 7th minute Bertram Svenningsen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Carlos Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 8th minute the ball was on its way in behind Denmark's goalkeeper Keld Paulsen, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 11 minutes into the game, Ruud Gullit was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pragmáticos 1903's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pragmáticos 1903's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Carlos Britto came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ferenc Puskás received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Keld Paulsen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Denmark's attentive Lars Steen managed to snatch the ball when Tião Maia made a throw-in in the 46th minute of the game. Tadeu do Nascimento hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. After the first half Denmark were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ferenc Puskás stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thierry Henry in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Keld Paulsen prevented the ball from getting in the gole.
