The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Marco Pero to strike the kick off in the second half. A sloppy throw-in by Rodolfo Miranda in the 52nd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Academia FC's Enar Lehepuu. In the 53rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 69th minute of play forced Academia FC's goalkeeper Tiburcio Gaueko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. But to his dismay, Aurelio Soin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
