Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 60th minute after Real Ayuntamiento CF's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Real Ayuntamiento CF's goalie and right to Egbert Nijveldt. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Real Ayuntamiento CF's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 68th minute Pedro Cucao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arnout Reekers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Blažej Blazejowski, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. After 72 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Ignacio Richie. In the 73rd minute, Pedro Cucao ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. In the 82nd minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ritchie Stansfield was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Lars Meesters recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 87 played minutes Real Ayuntamiento CF got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Cucao. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Roberto Javiero in the 94th minute of the match. Real Ayuntamiento CF were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Netherlands for a fine match.
