In the 16th minute Chris Nygaard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anísio Gomes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 minutes FÊNIX F.C.'s defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chris Nygaard who took care of the corner kick. Mathias Ludvigsen charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When the match had gone on for 35 minutes, Chris Nygaard put it in 2-5 from a short distance just to the right of Anísio Gomes. In the 38th minute, Chris Nygaard got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The FÊNIX F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Denmark were winning 2-5.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Chris Nygaard was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Chris Nygaard in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal.
