Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ciro Quilo started the match with the kick off. In the 7th minute of the match, Zhu Chao Guang got a very nice opportunity to score, but Arnout Reekers was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Mauricio Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Catarinense F.C.'s Mauricio Luke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 15th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ciro Quilo got free with Arnout Reekers in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Gijsbert ter Kruimer made a precise shot to the right of Mauricio Luke. Catarinense F.C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. 23 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gijsbert ter Kruimer came free, but Mauricio Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Catarinense F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Mauricio Luke reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zhu Chao Guang in the 46th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 61st minute, Netherlands's Gijsbert ter Kruimer dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. 63 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Zhu Chao Guang came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 71st minute Lars Meesters shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lars Meesters scored 1-3 in the 71st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mauricio Luke, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mauricio Luke showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Meesters, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. When Victor Kauldi fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Catarinense F.C.'s protests and gave Victor Kauldi a yellow card for diving instead. In the 80th minute of the match, Gustaaf Groeneveldt got a very nice opportunity to score, but Mauricio Luke was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. David Eikelkamp kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Mauricio Luke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wim Wilmes in the 82nd minute. In the 87th minute Wim Wilmes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mauricio Luke saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 88 minutes, Egbert Nijveldt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Netherlands and the Catarinense F.C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Egbert Nijveldt kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. Zhu Chao Guang hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Romeo Osorio in the 94th minute of play. When the match was over Netherlands could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Catarinense F.C. throughout the match.
