Golo Dolar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. A very good chance for a goal. 4 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Golo Dolar came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Golo Dolar in the 5th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Golo Dolar took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rolando Sindo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 12th play minutes Viriato Moura shot 1-1, a short shot which went by Rolando Sindo and just under the crossbar into goal. Portugal's Wilson Amorim proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to save Portugal from getting a goal against them. Rolando Sindo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Barreto in the 24th minute of play. If Golo Dolar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Charmander City's Rolando Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 33rd minute of play. Golo Dolar blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wilson Amorim having to make a save. In the 35th minute Golo Dolar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Wilson Amorim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Golo Dolar succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 37th playminute. After 39 played minutes Charmander City got a freekick which was hit by Golo Dolar. In the 40th minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. The supporters of Portugal booed when Charmander City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicu Petrulean didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Golo Dolar made the kick off in the second half. Charmander City's Rolando Sindo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 90th minute of play. Tomas Itzaina hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. The Portugal players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
