Wilson Amorim stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gilberto Lopes's shot from short distance in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Robben Spoelberchs got free with Wilson Amorim in the 21st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Robben Spoelberchs hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. 25 minutes into the match, Castanheiro SC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Pimentel came free, but Wincent Dropinski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Manfredo Quirino took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Wilson Amorim to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe Barreto in the 32nd minute of play forced Castanheiro SC's goalkeeper Wincent Dropinski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Castanheiro SC's Wincent Dropinski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 33rd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Robben Spoelberchs was the one to do the kick off. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Castanheiro SC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Portugal had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
