In the 20th minute, José Carneiro made a precise shot to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. If Maciej Parzysz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Ema City getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Chen Yang Han hit a great ball. Andre Buncol made in the 45th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Selçuk Özgebay. After having played for 46 minutes, José Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ema City's supporters crossed their fingers, but José Carneiro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Bartosz Trzenzalski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Zaccheo Andolina in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, José Carneiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ema City's supporters rose to their feet, but José Carneiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Vittori breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 61 minutes into the match, José Carneiro had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Flavio Vittori. Italy's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that José Carneiro was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0.
