Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Godofredo Remigio started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Wilson Amorim came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Racing Club's Godofredo Remigio. But to his dismay, Godofredo Remigio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Viriato Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Olavo Henriques took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 17 minutes into the match, Viriato Moura notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Racing Club's Olavo Henriques. Olavo Henriques was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Olavo Henriques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viriato Moura in the 24th minute of play. Portugal's Daniel Pimentel got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 32 minutes into the match, Portugal's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Remigio came free, but Wilson Amorim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipe Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Racing Club were awarded a corner. Eriberto Kimetz went to the cornerflag to take it. Olavo Henriques made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Viriato Moura was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geronimo Salomone in the 52nd minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilson Amorim made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Remigio in the 55th minute of play. Olavo Henriques showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viriato Moura in the 57th minute of the match. Portugal's Wilson Amorim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Godofredo Remigio in the 59th minute of play. After some careless play in the Portugal defense, Urbano Jago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wilson Amorim. The Portugal fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wilson Amorim should have stopped the shot. In the 67th minute, Godofredo Remigio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Racing Club fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Portugal's Felipinho Amorim was substituted for Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. Racing Club made a substitution. George Orwel replaced Godofredo Remigio. 72 minutes into the match, George Orwel notched a goal, 4-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. George Orwel recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Racing Club getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Maksymilian Walaszkiewicz hit a great ball. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bartolomeu Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Daniel Pimentel could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 86th minute of the match, but Olavo Henriques made a huge save. 87 minutes into the match, Fernandinho Rivera notched a goal, 5-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. George Orwel's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 90th minute of play. Racing Club's Andres Felipo managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Fabricio Andrade in the 91 minute of the game. After 92 played minutes Racing Club got a freekick which was hit by Andres Felipo. Olavo Henriques showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felipinho Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. After 94 minutes Racing Club's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Daniel Pimentel who took care of the corner kick. Daniel Pimentel made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that Racing Club's Olavo Henriques managed to reach the ball for a save. Portugal's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
