Spectators: 43 (Terracing: 33, Seating: 10, VIP seats: 0) Nova Soccer's Donat Collier started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Denmark's Kenn Skou quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Juan Manuel Vargas, made in the 6th minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Nova Soccer's zone, Bertram Svenningsen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurilio Duque came out of the goal and Bertram Svenningsen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dantel Ayllon during the 11th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dantel Ayllon hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Bertram Svenningsen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 13th match minute, Nova Soccer was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Luis Carranza to maneuver through the defense. Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Nygaard in the 25th minute of play. Denmark's attentive Lars Steen managed to snatch the ball when Juan Manuel Vargas made a throw-in in the 31st minute of the game. 39 minutes into the game, Juan Manuel Vargas threw the ball into play from the sideline. Denmark's Theis Winther quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. When Mikkel Wulff came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Denmark fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mikkel Wulff couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Svenningsen in the 45th minute of play forced Nova Soccer's goalkeeper Maurilio Duque to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Nova Soccer's José Luis Carranza got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

If Chris Nygaard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 54 minutes into the match, Denmark's goal looked a bit too open when Eusko Zubicoeta came free, but Keld Paulsen reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Chris Nygaard got free with Maurilio Duque in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Nova Soccer's Maurilio Duque got control of the ball when Chris Nygaard tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nova Soccer made a substitution. German Galban replaced Kismi Abar. A throw-in in the 68th minute of the game was made by Juan Manuel Vargas with Eusko Zubicoeta as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. The Nova Soccer players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
