Spectators: 50 (Terracing: 38, Seating: 11, VIP seats: 1) Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 5 minutes into the match, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wilson Amorim narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 9th minute, Edgardo Silva reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Wilson Amorim. The goal made the score 1-0. After 14 minutes of play, New England Minas's Edgardo Silva made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wilson Amorim was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Edgardo Silva in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Amorim saved Portugal from getting behind. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viriato Moura, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 25th minute of play. Jeremy Nicholas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Barreto in the 27th minute of the match. Daniel Pimentel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edgardo Silva in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Amorim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 36 minutes into the match, New England Minas's goal looked a bit too open when Felipe Barreto came free, but Jeremy Nicholas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 37th minute, Alperen Öksüz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Felipe Barreto in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jeremy Nicholas saved New England Minas from getting behind. Glen Conklin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Wilson Amorim came out and tried to block the shot, but Glen Conklin slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 40th minute. Jeremy Nicholas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Caetano Moreira went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Jeremy Nicholas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felipe Barreto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Edgardo Silva to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Edgardo Silva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The New England Minas fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1. In the 55th minute Viriato Moura shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 56th minute of play. In the 67th minute Felipe Barreto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jeremy Nicholas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Felipe Barreto in the 68thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jeremy Nicholas, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When Viriato Moura came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Portugal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viriato Moura couldn't finish the play. New England Minas made a substitution. Tio Lio replaced Edgardo Silva. New England Minas's Hipolito Emenon was substituted for Jörgen Frohm. Emmitt Benson kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Roman Major lost his temper 77 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 77th minute, one of New England Minas:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for New England Minas. The goalkeeper, Jeremy Nicholas, was totally fooled by Portugal's Daniel Pimentel, who 80 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Jeremy Nicholas made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felipinho Amorim in the 84th minute. Thanks to some nice moves Felipinho Amorim could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Jeremy Nicholas however easily saved by the left post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felipinho Amorim got free with Jeremy Nicholas in the 87th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. New England Minas's Jeremy Nicholas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save New England Minas from getting a goal against them. The Portugal fans' excitement grew in the 96th match minute when Portugal's Felipinho Amorim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. New England Minas had won after a very even match.
