Muten's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ridouane Palermo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The supporters of Hungary booed when Muten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Orlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 85th minute, Prospero Orlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 88 played minutes Muten got a freekick which was hit by Ridouane Palermo. Isidoro Galtero made a fantastic save in the 90th minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Laureano Llorian kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. Hungary were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Muten to leave the ground with a draw.
