Viriato Moura started the match with the kick off. Don Cabezon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilson Amorim read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 5th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Pimentel in the 6th minute of play forced AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's goalkeeper Dacian Nițescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 8 minutes into the game, Don Cabezon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Wilson Amorim was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 11th minute of the game. One of AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Portugal:s goal. Felipe Barreto made a great header on Portugal's corner, it was just that AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu managed to reach the ball for a save. Viriato Moura struck a weak shot in the 17th minute. Dacian Nițescu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugal. The crowd rose to their feet as Ardy Pakubuwono kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wilson Amorim. That made the score 2-1 in the 19 minute of play. In the 21st minute, Felipe Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Portugal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. 28 minutes into the match, Don Cabezon notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Portugal's Wilson Amorim. Wilson Amorim was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viriato Moura in the 31st minute of play. Dacian Nițescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Pimentel in the 33rd minute of play. In the 33rd minute, Daniel Pimentel ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dacian Nițescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dacian Nițescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felipe Barreto in the 44th minute of play. Fabricio Andrade's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dacian Nițescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Fabricio Andrade ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dacian Nițescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-4.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Don Cabezon to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Ryszard Owsiak got a free kick in the 53rd minute. When Don Cabezon came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Don Cabezon couldn't finish the play. Don Cabezon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Portugal made a substitution. Felipinho Amorim replaced Felipe Barreto. Portugal made a substitution. Bartolomeu Dias replaced Viriato Moura. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bartolomeu Dias got free with Dacian Nițescu in the 70th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Dede Akmal was substituted for Ardy Pakubuwono. AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Jajat Mustari was substituted for Bobby Pires. In the 74th minute Portugal were awarded a corner. Daniel Pimentel went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Portugal's corner Daniel Pimentel fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Dacian Nițescu quite easily take care of the ball. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The throw-in from Faustino Almeida in the 83rd minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by AL TAQWA VILLAGE FC's Gorri Sañudo. In the 84th minute, Dewa Warauw made a precise shot to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 6-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dede Akmal in the 86th minute of play forced Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 88th minute the ball was on its way in behind Portugal's goalkeeper Wilson Amorim, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dacian Nițescu came out of the goal in the 90th minute to try and stop a shot by Portugal's Bartolomeu Dias. But to his dismay, Bartolomeu Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-5. 93 minutes into the match, Dewa Warauw had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Wilson Amorim. Portugal's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dewa Warauw was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 7-5.
