Angelo Distiratsu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 7 minutes into the match, Lars Meesters had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Angelo Distiratsu. Atlético Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Lars Meesters was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Angelo Distiratsu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 14th minute of play forced Atlético Nacional's goalkeeper Angelo Distiratsu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hipolito Beltran to maneuver through the defense. 21 minutes into the game, Wim Wilmes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Angelo Distiratsu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Angelo Distiratsu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 31st minute of the match. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd minute. In the 37th minute, Wim Wilmes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Angelo Distiratsu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. In the 43rd minute Eric Oltean shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eric Oltean to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eric Oltean in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arnout Reekers prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 54 played minutes Atlético Nacional got a freekick which was hit by Natalio Savier. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 57 minutes, Gustaaf Groeneveldt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Netherlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustaaf Groeneveldt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eric Oltean in the 65th minute of the match. Angelo Distiratsu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wim Wilmes, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Eliseo Berasko notched a goal, 2-4, to the right of Netherlands's Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Atlético Nacional made a substitution. Baldomero Rodas replaced Alexsandro Mandrak. Atlético Nacional made a substitution. Carlos Alberto Azevedo replaced Eliseo Berasko. After a rather tough play, Atlético Nacional's Kang Wei Yue got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 81st match minute, Atlético Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kang Wei Yue to maneuver through the defense. Baldomero Rodas took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Arnout Reekers. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Atlético Nacional's Angelo Distiratsu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lars Meesters in the 90th minute of play. Baldomero Rodas struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Arnout Reekers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlético Nacional. Arnout Reekers made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Baldomero Rodas in the 96th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Netherlands walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
