Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Hungary's Antal Valentin started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 3 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Antal Valentin. If Enrique Arósio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Takacs Tibor hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Hungary's Antal Valentin sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fulgencio Rioja narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Velez's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Antal Valentin was slow to take the kick. During this time Hungary's players had a chance to rest. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 18th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Velez's goal looked a bit too open when Major Barna came free, but Fulgencio Rioja reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th match minute, Velez was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jony Maidana to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 28th minute by Jedrzej Tomaka got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Katona Janos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hungary's supporters crossed their fingers, but Katona Janos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rioja having to interfere. Jedrzej Tomaka might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fodor Daniel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jedrzej Tomaka ran back to his position shaking his head. Hungary's Fodor Daniel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan-Sebastián Torres in the 38th minute of play. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rioja having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Fulgencio Rioja made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Major Barna might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Fulgencio Rioja. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Major Barna ran back to his position shaking his head. Major Barna came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Fulgencio Rioja could save by the left post. Fulgencio Rioja made an important save on a dangerous shot by Balazs Lajos in the 58th minute. Hungary's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Antal Valentin in the 67th minute. Antal Valentin's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Fulgencio Rioja read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. After taking down the ball on Hungary's corner Antal Valentin fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fulgencio Rioja quite easily take care of the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Velez's goalkeeper Fulgencio Rioja had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Balazs Lajos. After a defensive mix-up in Hungary's zone, Juan-Sebastián Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fodor Daniel came out of the goal and Juan-Sebastián Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jedrzej Tomaka in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fodor Daniel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Hegedus Henrik hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Major Barna could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 82nd minute of the match, but Fulgencio Rioja made a huge save. A collision led to Velez getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Venancio Caton hit a great ball. In the 89th minute, Katona Janos left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hungary fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Hungary played a much better game than Velez and deserved their victory. The Velez players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
