Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer started the match with the kick off. The audience was convinced that Gaby Diares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Arnout Reekers was relentless in the 6th minute of the game. Arnout Reekers stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaby Diares's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Fernanco having to interfere. A collision led to Expreso del oeste getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Jason Ghost hit a great ball. Hernan Fernanco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Constantino Lartaun dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Arnout Reekers, 1-0. 16 minutes into the match, Netherlands's Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Hernan Fernanco narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gijsbert ter Kruimer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Hernan Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 23rd minute. Hernan Fernanco didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Wim Wilmes hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. In the 33rd minute, Gustaaf Groeneveldt ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hernan Fernanco was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. In the 35th minute Gustaaf Groeneveldt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantino Lartaun in the 36th minute of play. Marco Anda charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marco Anda the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Expreso del oeste getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Marco Anda hit a great ball. After 43 played minutes Netherlands got a freekick which was hit by Egbert Nijveldt. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantino Lartaun in the 44th minute of the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Constantino Lartaun made the kick off in the second half. Netherlands's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 52nd minute. Netherlands's David Eikelkamp was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Hernan Fernanco in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Netherlands were awarded a corner in the 56th minute after Expreso del oeste's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Gijsbert ter Kruimer took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Gijsbert ter Kruimer got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Hernan Fernanco quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustaaf Groeneveldt got free with Hernan Fernanco in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Wim Wilmes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hernan Fernanco having to interfere. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Mikeldi in the 63rd minute of play. After 63 minutes, Constantino Lartaun made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th minute, Egbert Nijveldt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 69th minute of the match, but Hernan Fernanco made a huge save. Gustaaf Groeneveldt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Hernan Fernanco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustaaf Groeneveldt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wim Wilmes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 83rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hernan Fernanco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 94 minutes into the match, Netherlands's goal looked a bit too open when Constantino Lartaun came free, but Arnout Reekers reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Netherlands were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
