Wils FC's Andreas Frans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samuele Kunz in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 7th minute, Edwin Koppen managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wils FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Edwin Koppen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hias Nüssli breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 12 minutes into the game, Etienne Van Achteren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hias Nüssli. Etienne Van Achteren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Fridolin Neumeister kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Switzerland's zone, Etienne Van Achteren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hias Nüssli came out of the goal and Etienne Van Achteren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The tension between the Switzerland and the Wils FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 26 played minutes Switzerland got a freekick which was hit by Samuele Kunz. In the 30th match minute, Switzerland was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eric Thomi to maneuver through the defense. 31 minutes into the match, Switzerland's goal looked a bit too open when Edwin Koppen came free, but Hias Nüssli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 34th minute, Etienne Van Achteren made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. When the match had gone on for 47 minutes, Etienne Van Achteren put it in 7-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hias Nüssli. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Edwin Koppen to strike the kick off in the second half. Harald De Messemaeckre received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 63rd play minutes Edwin Koppen shot 10-0, a short shot which went by Hias Nüssli and just under the crossbar into goal. Jacinto Maurer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 70th minute, Etienne Van Achteren made a precise shot to the right of Hias Nüssli. Switzerland's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 11-0. When Wils FC's Etienne Van Achteren in the 73rd minute got a chance for a shot 73rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Switzerland's goalie prevented a goal. After 76 minutes of play, Wils FC's Etienne Van Achteren made it 12-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hias Nüssli was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 79th minute Roland Pluijssens shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hias Nüssli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Etienne Van Achteren in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Etienne Van Achteren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Hias Nüssli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Wils FC's Etienne Van Achteren in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Etienne Van Achteren in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hias Nüssli prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Edwin Koppen came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Wils FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edwin Koppen couldn't finish the play. Wils FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
