An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodrigo Bautista in the 3rd minute of play forced Titipounamu's goalkeeper Art Hauschildt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Palermo AFC's Severiano Udalaitz got a free kick in the 6th minute. 9 minutes into the match, Titipounamu's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Bautista came free, but Art Hauschildt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 16th minute, Nando Pereira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Primitivo Jeraldo was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Primitivo Jeraldo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nando Pereira in the 20th minute. After having played for 21 minutes, Hazar Hür managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Titipounamu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hazar Hür was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the match, Palermo AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Nando Pereira came free, but Primitivo Jeraldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 32nd minute Rodrigo Bautista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Art Hauschildt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 33rd match minute, Palermo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severo Leheren to maneuver through the defense. Titipounamu's Edson Mendes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Caetano Silveira in the 40 minute of the game. Primitivo Jeraldo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nando Pereira went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nando Pereira made a kick off. Rodrigo Bautista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Art Hauschildt having to make a save. After 51 played minutes Palermo AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alvaro Patxi. Rodrigo Bautista fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Art Hauschildt having to interfere. In the 63rd minute of the game Vincente Santiago made a throw-in which Nando Pereira played forward. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nando Pereira in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Primitivo Jeraldo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Palermo AFC's Primitivo Jeraldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nando Pereira in the 73rd minute of play. Primitivo Jeraldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nando Pereira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Titipounamu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bona Corona in the 81st minute. After taking down the ball on Titipounamu's corner Bona Corona fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Primitivo Jeraldo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 93rd minute, Kees Van Bever hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rodrigo Bautista might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Art Hauschildt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rodrigo Bautista ran back to his position shaking his head. Palermo AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
