Mané Netto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 8 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Rodolfo Cordeiro came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Takacs Tibor in the 9th minute of play forced 20 de Abril's goalkeeper Mané Netto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 12th minute, Eduardo Maranhense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Hungary were awarded a corner. Antal Valentin went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Hungary's Hegedus Henrik to a score. 0-1 in the 19th minute. Mané Netto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balazs Lajos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Balazs Lajos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané Netto having to interfere. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Váldson Barral in the 29th minute of play. In the 30th minute Rodolfo Cordeiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fodor Daniel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 34 played minutes 20 de Abril got a freekick which was hit by Luan Zanette. In the 35th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Antal Valentin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Hungary were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Hungary got a freekick which was hit by Balazs Lajos. In the 57th minute, Katona Janos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, 20 de Abril's Mané Netto got control of the ball when Major Barna tried to sneak it across the goal line. 20 de Abril's Mané Netto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 68th minute of the match, managed to save 20 de Abril from getting a goal against them. Fodor Daniel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodolfo Cordeiro in the 72nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Antal Valentin got free with Mané Netto in the 83rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 de Abril's Rodolfo Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 88 minutes into the match, 20 de Abril's goalkeeper Mané Netto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Major Barna. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Hungary:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of 20 de Abril:s goal. Luan Zanette shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Hungary's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
