It was Micah Macdonald who took care of the corner kick. A well-hit corner resulted in Xavier Gallagher heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. After a defensive mix-up in C.A. GUAYACO's zone, Issac Dawson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erwin Pellicer came out of the goal and Issac Dawson tried to chip the ball over his head. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, England's goalkeeper Khalid Kennedy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Caicedo Berrondo. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

With a couple of smart ball manuevers Kyle Cox in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erwin Pellicer saved C.A. GUAYACO from getting behind. In a very dangerous position, a player in England fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 56th minute. Penalty! Khalid Kennedy showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Augusto Obarenes in the 65th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Kyle Cox cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Erwin Pellicer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Kyle Cox had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. C.A. GUAYACO's Walme Saucedo was substituted for Batista Fuica. In the 80th minute Fernandez Poblaciones shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khalid Kennedy saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
