The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Juvenal Moreira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kent Åkerström in the 3rd minute of the match. FS Elite's Tommy Falck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eddie Wittingham in the 5th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karl Pointon in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Tommy Falck prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Åkerström got free with Juvenal Moreira in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FS Elite's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcelo Chepe in the 17th minute. A nice corner shot did that Marcelo Chepe got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Juvenal Moreira quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kent Åkerström got free with Juvenal Moreira in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Juvenal Moreira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Du Lin went, in the 24th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 29 minutes into the match, Eddie Wittingham notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of FS Elite's Tommy Falck. Tommy Falck was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The crowd rose to their feet as Du Lin kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juvenal Moreira. That made the score 2-1 in the 33 minute of play. After 35 played minutes FS Elite got a freekick which was hit by Du Lin. In the 37th minute of the match Adrian Ruddock shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Falck showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eddie Wittingham in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Falck saved FS Elite from getting behind. With a little luck, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Juvenal Moreira got control of the ball when Du Lin tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a rather tough play, Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Jo Tabb got a free kick in the 47th minute. Juvenal Moreira made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Marcelo Chepe sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The wind increased when Eddie Wittingham made the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Eddie Wittingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in FS Elite's zone, Neil Deacon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tommy Falck came out of the goal and Neil Deacon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Du Lin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Juvenal Moreira was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. FS Elite made a substitution. Tim Persson replaced Du Lin. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kent Åkerström, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Juvenal Moreira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kent Åkerström in the 72nd minute of play. After 72 minutes, Neil Deacon mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lisburn Distillery F.C. and the FS Elite players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 72 played minutes Lisburn Distillery F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Neil Deacon. In the 73rd minute, Neil Deacon hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Derek Findley kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Juvenal Moreira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tim Persson, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kent Åkerström in the 78th minute of play forced Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s goalkeeper Juvenal Moreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Tim Persson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s Juvenal Moreira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tim Persson in the 83rd minute of play. Lisburn Distillery F.C.'s players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
