Pedro Coelho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Oliverio Kahn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Charly Alberti's shot from short distance in the 4th minute. Wiliam Furtado hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. AS Pikachuzim's Santos Rallo got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the AS Pikachuzim defense, Charly Alberti kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oliverio Kahn. The AS Pikachuzim fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oliverio Kahn should have stopped the shot. Pedro Coelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 21st minute of play. AS Pikachuzim's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Santos Rallo in the 23rd minute. The corner led to AS Pikachuzim's Jacinto Veiga getting away a dangerous shot that went just outside the goal. The supporters of KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946 booed when AS Pikachuzim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jacinto Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronaldinho Fenomeno in the 43rd minute of play forced KS Górnik Wałbrzych 1946's goalkeeper Pedro Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
