Holger Vester showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Major Barna, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 34th minute, Antal Valentin got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fodor Daniel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Celedonio Dominguez in the 36th minute. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Holger Vester showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Major Barna in the 47th minute of the match. The Hammarby IF players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Hungary were winning 0-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Antal Valentin stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
