Soriano Espiñeira came out of the goal and Lars Meesters tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Soriano Espiñeira having to interfere. Wim Wilmes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Soriano Espiñeira read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Soriano Espiñeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 18th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Navalito's Nazario Urtubia got a free kick in the 23rd minute. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Nicanor Parra put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Arnout Reekers. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 31st minute of play forced Navalito's goalkeeper Soriano Espiñeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Soriano Espiñeira saved Navalito from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Gijsbert ter Kruimer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Soriano Espiñeira was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. In the 37th minute, José Ignacio Portusagasti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mathijn Doctor hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. Soriano Espiñeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wim Wilmes in the 40th minute of the match. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Gijsbert ter Kruimer made the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes had been played when some careless play by Navalito's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was slow to take the kick. During this time Netherlands's players had a chance to rest. Egbert Nijveldt hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. A sloppy throw-in by Gust Ennemans in the 59th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Navalito's Tata Elias. Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Eikelkamp in the 64th minute of play. Soriano Espiñeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from David Eikelkamp, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 70 minutes, Nicanor Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Navalito's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicanor Parra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Navalito's Eros Villamayor was substituted for Amanda Björn. Navalito's Isidoro Young was substituted for Nicanor Parra. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. Gijsbert ter Kruimer hit a great ball. Wim Wilmes struck a weak shot in the 80th minute. Soriano Espiñeira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netherlands. Carlos Gustavo Caicedo hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. In the 85th minute, Wim Wilmes left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Netherlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 88 minutes into the match, Navalito's goal looked a bit too open when Wim Wilmes came free, but Soriano Espiñeira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wim Wilmes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 89th minute of the match, but Soriano Espiñeira made a huge save. In the 89thth minute of the game Wim Wilmes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Navalito's Soriano Espiñeira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 95th minute Isidoro Young shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
