In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Tachito's goalkeeper Elias Selatse, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Belmiro Arruda might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Casper Claes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Belmiro Arruda ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the match, Belgium's goalkeeper Casper Claes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Belmiro Arruda. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Belmiro Arruda was the one to do the kick off. The audience was convinced that Belmiro Arruda's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Casper Claes was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Belmiro Arruda in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Casper Claes saved Belgium from getting behind. The crowd rose to their feet as Belgium's Yves Dervaux slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Elias Selatse. That made the score 4-1 after 60 minutes of play. In the 81st minute Claudiu Niculescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Claes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Elias Selatse made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Vanderstraeten in the 84th minute of play. Elias Selatse made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Edward Vanderstraeten sent off a good shot on target. After 96 played minutes Deportivo Tachito got a freekick which was hit by Saul Beila. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Deportivo Tachito had won after a very even match.
