After 20 minutes of play, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Ansgar Küpper-Adebisi made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vavrinec Holub was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 23 minutes, Leif-Eric Albrecht mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rot-Weiss-Essen and the Czech Republic players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Erik Jilek's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but August Hoffmanns was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anestis Kotsopoulos got free with Vavrinec Holub in the 28th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 34 played minutes Czech Republic got a freekick which was hit by Svatopluk Capek. Hugo Haupt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. August Hoffmanns was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Rot-Weiss-Essen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erik Jilek to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Rot-Weiss-Essen's August Hoffmanns got control of the ball when Alan Rezek tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rot-Weiss-Essen's defense didn't have a chance, in the 52nd minute, when Denis Dostal scored to the left of an out of position August Hoffmanns, making the score, 4-3. If Maximilian Henning had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Czech Republic's Vavrinec Holub played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hugo Haupt in the 62nd minute of play. Anestis Kotsopoulos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vavrinec Holub having to interfere. Erik Jilek who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 68thth minute tested the skills of August Hoffmanns when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Rot-Weiss-Essen getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Mesut Özil hit a great ball. August Hoffmanns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Denis Dostal in the 69th minute of the match. Vavrinec Holub showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anestis Kotsopoulos, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. A collision led to Czech Republic getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Kvetoslav Janku hit a great ball. In the 78th minute, Kvetoslav Janku hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vavrinec Holub showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hugo Haupt in the 82nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Maximilian Henning in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vavrinec Holub prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 86 played minutes, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hakem Al Khames shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Vavrinec Holub came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Rot-Weiss-Essen reached it. Maximilian Henning's late challenge caught a Czech Republic's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maximilian Henning helped the player get up and apologised. Maximilian Henning hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. 95 minutes into the game, Rot-Weiss-Essen's Hugo Haupt nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vavrinec Holub made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-3.
