Baldomero Burutzagi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antal Valentin, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. In the 4th minute of the match, Flóki Cabezudo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Fodor Daniel saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Stellenbosch's Baldomero Burutzagi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Major Barna in the 7th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Stellenbosch's zone, Major Barna stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Baldomero Burutzagi came out of the goal and Major Barna tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 13th match minute, Hungary was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vörös Henrik to maneuver through the defense. Marciano Mundo struck a weak shot in the 14th minute. Fodor Daniel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stellenbosch. In the 15th minute, Stellenbosch's Flóki Cabezudo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Fodor Daniel. Fodor Daniel yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Major Barna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 25 minutes into the match, Hungary's goal looked a bit too open when Marciano Mundo came free, but Fodor Daniel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Hungary booed when Stellenbosch was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erasmo Millrick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Balazs Lajos kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. 36 minutes into the match, Hungary's goalkeeper Fodor Daniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristián Pavon. Fodor Daniel made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Cristián Pavon sent off a good shot on target. With an all-out effort, Stellenbosch's Fodor Daniel threw himself towards the right post 42 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Flóki Cabezudo, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 44th minute, Marciano Mundo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Stellenbosch fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marciano Mundo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Baldomero Burutzagi made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Antal Valentin sent off a good shot on target. Cristián Pavon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fodor Daniel having to interfere. Fodor Daniel stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Flóki Cabezudo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. When Stellenbosch's Cristián Pavon in the 60th minute got a chance for a shot 60th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hungary's goalie prevented a goal. Szekeres Tamas kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Stellenbosch's Marciano Mundo got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Major Barna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baldomero Burutzagi having to interfere. Baldomero Burutzagi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Major Barna in the 76th minute of play. Marciano Mundo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Fodor Daniel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Antal Valentin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Stellenbosch support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
