Jonathan Joestar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Peanut Lord showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. In the 15thth minute of the game Wilfredo Benvide who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Slipmaskinerna's Zorion Carić was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 17 minutes had been played when some careless play by Slipmaskinerna's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Clemente Rodriguez was slow to take the kick. During this time Formentera's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Formentera's Clemente Rodriguez to fire away a dangerous shot which Zorion Carić despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 55th minute Peanut Lord shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Joestar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 56 minutes into the match, Formentera's goal looked a bit too open when Peanut Lord came free, but Jonathan Joestar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Slipmaskinerna's supporters crossed their fingers, but Don Frye was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Don Frye might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jonathan Joestar. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Don Frye ran back to his position shaking his head. If Don Frye had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a defensive mix-up in Formentera's zone, Don Frye stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Joestar came out of the goal and Don Frye tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
