Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Frank Sachs kicked off to start the match. When the match had gone on for 3 minutes, José Paulo Medeiros put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Tommy Kahn. Dong Xuan Xi's late challenge caught a Germany's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dong Xuan Xi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 6th match minute, Goiás Esporte Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dong Xuan Xi to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute, Chris Mergenthaler hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Adrian Dreifuss kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Goiás Esporte Clube's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Marcus Diniz in the 14th minute. A nice corner shot did that Marcus Diniz got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Tommy Kahn quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Frank Sachs in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Natanael Paraense prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Adrian Dreifuss hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. A collision led to Goiás Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Valdir Neves hit a great ball. Goiás Esporte Clube's Natanael Paraense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Sachs in the 29th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rogério Alagoano got free with Tommy Kahn in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Michel Mertesacker hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Valdir Neves hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Natanael Paraense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frank Sachs, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. When Daniel Schmidt came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Goiás Esporte Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Daniel Schmidt couldn't finish the play. Marcus Diniz didn't quite understand what happened when in the 45 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Rogério Alagoano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 47th minute of the match, but Tommy Kahn made a huge save. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Valdir Neves made in the 56th minute of the game a fairly good throw-in which was taken care of by Marcus Diniz. The supporters of Goiás Esporte Clube booed when Germany was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Linus Schwerner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Umberto Peres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tommy Kahn having to interfere. Albin Holweck blasted a shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Natanael Paraense having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Alagoano in the 70th minute of play forced Germany's goalkeeper Tommy Kahn to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 2-0 became the score in the 70th minute when Rogério Alagoano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 73 minutes of play, Goiás Esporte Clube's Daniel Schmidt made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tommy Kahn was left in no man's land by his defense there! Tommy Kahn made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Schmidt in the 75th minute of play. Michel Mertesacker hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Germany defense, Rogério Alagoano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tommy Kahn. The Germany fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tommy Kahn should have stopped the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rogério Alagoano in the 84th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tommy Kahn saved Germany from getting behind. Daniel Schmidt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 91st minute, Daniel Schmidt left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Goiás Esporte Clube fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 5-0. Tommy Kahn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Daniel Schmidt in the 95th minute of the match.
