The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gijsbert ter Kruimer was the one to do the kick off. Through an outstanding action, after 58 minutes, Ilias Seichanidis successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Arnout Reekers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. Ilias Seichanidis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 90th minute of the match. Wim Wilmes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The ΟΦΗ fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Netherlands were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
