Marquês de Herval's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Dida Taffarel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Bento Chandeiro went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Beat Vid showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 11th minute of the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Bento Chandeiro got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dida Taffarel was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 17 minutes into the match, Aioros FC's goal looked a bit too open when Nestor Paraibano came free, but Beat Vid reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
