The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Martins to strike the kick off in the second half. Symba's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Alfredo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gus Wootton in the 59th minute of play. In the 60th match minute, Symba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Muhammad Bejaoui to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Symba's Anis Achour got control of the ball when Nestor Paraibano tried to sneak it across the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Marquês de Herval had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
