With a couple of smart ball manuevers Reynaldo Estebe in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. After 26 played minutes, Nantwich's Rufus Stamp shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dida Taffarel came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Nantwich reached it. Enrique Hanot made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Alfredo Martins sent off a good shot on target. Marquês de Herval were awarded a corner in the 38th minute after Nantwich's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Pedro Luís da Rocha took the corner. A nice corner shot did that Pedro Luís da Rocha got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Enrique Hanot quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Enrique Hanot made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nestor Paraibano in the 42nd minute. Nantwich's Enrique Hanot proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Nantwich from getting a goal against them. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alfredo Martins stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enrique Hanot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Martins in the 51st minute of the match. The audience was convinced that 林悦傲's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dida Taffarel was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Reynaldo Estebe took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dida Taffarel. Dida Taffarel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Albert Jowsey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marquês de Herval's Acácio Cunha was substituted for Valentin Vizitiu. Enrique Hanot showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nestor Paraibano in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Jowsey came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nantwich were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Marquês de Herval's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Rufus Stamp took the corner. Pedro Luís da Rocha tried in the 80th minute to hit away a contribution but miss-kicked the ball which ended up in his own goal and left an unhappy Dida Taffarel a with quite unnecessary self made goal. Result 1-2. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from 林悦傲 in the 83rd minute of the match. When Nantwich's 林悦傲 in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Marquês de Herval's goalie prevented a goal. In the 84thth minute of the game 林悦傲 who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 89 minutes into the game, Alfredo Martins was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marquês de Herval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nantwich the free kick. In the 89th match minute, Marquês de Herval was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Martins to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Hanot took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nestor Paraibano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 93 minutes into the match, Marquês de Herval's goal looked a bit too open when Reynaldo Estebe came free, but Dida Taffarel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 95 minutes into the match, Nantwich's goal looked a bit too open when German Cano came free, but Enrique Hanot reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Marquês de Herval supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nantwich's performance. The match ended with a win for Nantwich.
