Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ubaldo Matildo Fillol prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruben Salvator's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Arnout Reekers firmly grabbed it by the left post. Prudencio Ovando kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Arnout Reekers showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vladimir Bauman in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 29th minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 30th minute of the match. After some careless play in the A. Korn defense, Gustaaf Groeneveldt kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ubaldo Matildo Fillol. The A. Korn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Matildo Fillol should have stopped the shot. In the 33rd minute Gijsbert ter Kruimer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Netherlands's Arnout Reekers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 35th minute of the match, managed to save Netherlands from getting a goal against them. Ruben Salvator's late challenge caught a Netherlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The corner ended in Gijsbert ter Kruimer almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol did a great save. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 40th minute of the match. A collision led to Netherlands getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mathijn Doctor hit a great ball. With an all-out effort, A. Korn's Arnout Reekers threw himself towards the right post 45 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vladimir Bauman, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wim Wilmes in the 47th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The corner went over the outstretched arms of A. Korn's goalie and right to Wim Wilmes. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. A. Korn's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. In the 56th minute Zbigniew Fedosz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arnout Reekers saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Netherlands booed when A. Korn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Vulpe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gustaaf Groeneveldt could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 63rd minute of the match, but Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made a huge save. A. Korn's Ubaldo Matildo Fillol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gijsbert ter Kruimer in the 65th minute of play. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gustaaf Groeneveldt in the 70th minute. In the 76th minute, A. Korn's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Gustaaf Groeneveldt fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Netherlands booed when A. Korn's zone, Gustaaf Groeneveldt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol came out of the goal and Gustaaf Groeneveldt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ubaldo Matildo Fillol didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gijsbert ter Kruimer went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 94th match minute, A. Korn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonatan Maidana to maneuver through the defense. Netherlands's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
